The Stream of Consciousness

Aperçu

Tubi and Otoh wanted to turn data from the 2024 Stream Report into something people would actually watch. Five short videos, titles like Revenge Bedtime, Repetitive Thoughts, True Story, Original Content, and Coffee Buzz. Fast, type-driven, playful. The kind of project that's close to my personal taste, so yeah, I was into it.
The challenge: five cohesive videos, three weeks, team scattered across the US and Canada.

Phases de production

01

I jumped in by digging through Tubi's storyboards, illustrations, and brand assets. Illustrations were on the table early, but we quickly pivoted to have me focus entirely on motion. Five videos needed a rock-solid movement system, it was better to go deep on the animation than spread thin

02

I animated the first animation first. Not just to deliver one video, but to build the foundation. Timing, motion style, key moments, all tested here while the team was still locking the remaining storyboards with the client.

03

With that base established, I moved through the other four. Each needed its own energy and effects while staying part of the same series. Heavy type animation work, lots of iteration with the team, but the first sequence kept everyone anchored.

04

Once motion was approved, audio came in. Small visual adjustments to match the beat, then the sound designer sent back the final mix with subtle effects. I integrated everything, we ran a final QA check, and packaged all files for delivery.

Type-driven
motion

Every video is built around type in motion. That's the core. Tubi's Stream Report data becomes something you feel, not just read, through kinetic typography that moves with purpose and keeps your eye exactly where it needs to be.

two approaches across the series:

Flow visuel continu

No cuts. Or more accurately, you don't feel the cuts. Each scene flows into the next through continuous motion. Elements transform and carry over, rhythm never really breaks. That’s motion design doing its job. You travel through the video without noticing the edit.

Timeline serrée & coordination inter-city

Five videos in three weeks, across Montreal, New York, and Los Angeles.
