Overview
Standish Communications reached out when they needed a motion designer for CIME's awareness campaign about workplace discrimination. The brief: playful, inclusive animation aligned with CIME's mission of helping women integrate into the workforce. The challenge was keeping the tone light enough to be approachable while handling a serious subject, animation that invites people in, not lectures them.
At kickoff, Standish handed me the first storyboard, graphic elements, fonts, and logos. One clear direction in hand: stop-motion feeling. Solid foundation to build from.
I animated the first capsule in landscape with audio and sent it for validation. One approved before touching the rest. That's the way to go.
I got the green light. With a clear script in hand, I handled storyboarding, illustration, and animation for the remaining three capsules, keeping the style consistent throughout. No surprises.
All horizontal versions approved. Moving to vertical was straightforward, same attention, no time lost. Clean files, both formats, done.

Simple rig, clean result.
Good production isn't just animation, it's building tools that save time. I set things up to make the work faster and cleaner.

The campaign won a Vega Award in the Video/Online Video (Campaign), Non-Profit category. A nice recognition for the work Standish Communications put into this project , and a good reminder that thoughtful animation can support a cause that actually matters.
